We need more reviewers!

Well ...i believe the writer of git , Linus Torvald must have been looking out of his kitchen window , cause people talk like "percy thrower" with git , and say things like "its in the tree " "let me check out this branch " let me continue then with that mode , if I want more tomatoes in my garden , i might plant tomato seeds in my garden and nurture them.


the thing is when Microsoft bought out github , the thought came to my mind : so we have a company that is totally closed. It doesnt share code of its operating system but has decided to buy out a platform where people willingly engage , support and share code. mmmm

So im pretty clueless as to how i would even go about getting involved not having been near github for quite some time, to assess if i would also be clueless or not on understanding the code changes. I do know git fairly well and use it locally . If i was to think how I might go about getting more reviewers I would write a tutorial or add a chapter to the CodeIgniter4 book. It would be with the approach ..go to github, create an account to get codeigniter on your system use these codes . If you want to do a pull request its like ... in other words assume nothing , write like your spoon feeding someone.

if i was the marketing manager I might kill 2 birds with one stone , i would try and get an article in some computer mag along the lines "hey have you looked at CodeIgniter4 recently ... its come a very long way and been in active development for some time " . The following article shows how you can get involved ....with reviewing code. So that might increase the interest , which i would suggest would increase the user base and reviewer base ?
