Using another DB-Port with mysqli

Hi folks,

i need to use another port for my db-connections, so i checked the driver for mysqli:

system/database/drivers/mysqli/mysqli_driver.php

and saw that there is no option for a port in the "mysqli_connect" statement. Is this a bug or a feature?

I added this in my installation, but need to check this every update - thats annoying ;-(

Maby some feedback!?

It would also be most helpful to the gracious folks fixing these bugs for us if you would please read the guidelines and follow them before posting here. I put in two search terms "port mysql" and found my previous bug report immediately. When we double post it just slows them down and prevents them from helping us my friend.

Please add your comment to that report and they will pay attention to that one.
