Codeigniter Application with LDAP Authentication

I don't understand what you mean with

 i don't know how to use ldap

The question is:
can you connect but not authenticate ?

All i want is to authenticate user by windows username and password in codeigniter. Suggest me a very simple way please. I tried Auth_Ldap library but it is very complex for me.
