Member function with ranks

I there again.

I've googled like h..l for a tutorial where I can create a safe and rank (userlevel) based reg/login function to use in my blog I'm trying to build.

All I want to store in my db is:

username:
e-mail:
passsword: (secure of course):
rank: (userlevel)

You know any tuts out there that google has hidden? (not possible) =)

I don't know of any tutorials but you might want to try the wiki on this site for existing authentication systems and use those as training material. You can see how different developers use different approaches.

If you mean what I think you mean by rank/user level, then most aith libraries have that functionality... The only one I've used (which I know has it) is the auth library by Adam Griffiths (Its callled the restrict fuction where you have layered groups)
