why dx_auth use ENGINE=InnoDB DEFAULT COLLATE=utf8_bin ?

why not use utf8_general_ci?
And why not use MyISAM?
who can explain it?

is it better to change to utf8_general_ci + MyISAM ?

One possible reason that comes to mind for using InnoDB over MyISAM is supprt for transactions, although I'm not sure if DX Auth uses them?

InnoDB allows transactions, so that would be my guess. You're best bet would be to ask the author.
