Thanks for a very useful post Jelmer.

Just started my first big project in CI and this have saved me for many hours later on I'm sure. As I'm fairly new to working in this MVC framework I haven't contributed anything to the forums myself, but I'm amazed about the quality of the user contributions here in general. Thumbs++
