Getting a 403 Error when it was working fine the other day. |

So I moved my site over to http://hutchwifi.com/ from http://www.hutchnetwireless.com/ and now I'm getting a 403 error. It was working fine before, the only thing I changed was the base directory in the config and in the .htaccess file. This is on a godaddy account to. .htaccess Code: #Enable mod rewrite config.php Code: $config['base_url'] = "http://www.hutchwifi.com/"; I've read all the "Do this to work with Godaddy!" and it DID work with these settings on my other godaddy account, but as soon as I moved it over and changed the base site shit hit the fan. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions as to what is going on?

Does your .htaccess file still include the old subdirectory structure (ksf/dev)?

Sorry, copyied the wrong .htaccess file. No it's exactly the same except it's Code: RewriteBase /

Does the site work fine without the .htaccess? If so, I'd strip it down to its most minimal form (such as the .htaccess examples here: http://codeigniter.com/wiki/Godaddy_Installaton_Tips/ or here: http://codeigniter.com/wiki/Dreamhost_.htaccess/ ) and try again.

Even with no .htaccess file it still give's me a forbidden error. I don't know wtf is going on i've tried every godaddy fix for CI and still the same shit. What gets me the most is I had it working on the other hosting account, it just doesn't make any damn sense.

No, I think it has to do with the .htaccess file. Quote:Forbidden Maybe because godaddy doesn't process .htaccess files but once an hour is why the settings would still be in place? Or do you think this could be a hosting issue instead?

Try changing the permissions in the directory. Not sure if this is possible with godaddy but it sounds like a permissions problem since your htaccess doesn't block anything. What are the permissions of the directory which contains the test.html file

Alright guys, thanks for the help so far, I think I've narrowed it down to a GoDaddy problem and have taken appropriate measures to resolve this. ![]() |
