It certainly would be great to have CI 3.0 released within a month or so to give 2015 a fresh start.
Tell us how we can contribute. "new session library" is a rather broad issue and it's discussion has 138 comments so it's next to impossible to understand what needs to be done and where one could contribute. Are there any known issues with the new session library that needs a fix? Does it need testing? If so under what conditions? Please break down the new session-issue into smaller issues so more people can chime in.
Has the counsel discussed on how to treat CI 2.2? Will it receive any bug fixes or will it simply be abandoned once CI 3.0 is out the door? IMHO there are plenty of reasons to keep bringing bug fixes to the old stable version.
