Tank Auth and CI using PHP4

Has anyone had any success using Tank Auth and CI in a PHP 4 environment? I've followed all of the installation/setup instructions and it appears that CI is having trouble loading the tank_auth library.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Why not upgrade to a supported (and developed) version of PHP? Does your host not offer PHP 5?

Unfortunately, my hosting service only provides PHP 4.
