Amazon API for searching/displaying products?

I want to display products from Amazon using their API... Is that still possible?
The only thing I found on API on Amazon seems to be about their cloud services (http://aws.amazon.com/). Am I looking at the right place?

And is there any codeigniter library to search amazon and display products (or just a wrap up of the maybe existing Amazon API)?
