Anybody Else Having Problems using Cropping with GD Library and Mac OS/XAMPP?

Hi Everyone,

I'm using the latest Codeigniter 2.0.2 on my Macbook with XAMPP. I'm having problems using the GD library to crop images, they come out cropped, but totally black or a light blue.

Resizing images is working well.

I'm wondering if I am doing something wrong or if this is an issue with the GD library?
