Hi! Thanks for having a forum. Hope you can help. I don't know if my situation can be addressed w/some basic pointers or not. I have looked through the users guide, but didn't find a fix jumping out at me.
Briefly:
We had programmers build us a site. They used codeigniter.
They left it needing some tweaking (though it IS live on the web, now).
I am an amateur tweaker, so I'd like to do that offline.
I've installed XAMPP to serve my site locally.
I have gotten far enough that my site is present locally and the db is accessed (I believe).
---- meaning that I've changed the IS_LIVE to false in constants, set variables in Config, config, database, and index. I've also changed some settings in the XAMPP httpd.conf and the .htaccess files.
The homepage comes up beautifully, but...
Any link FROM the homepage comes back "Object not found." w/ a 404 error.
DOES anyone have any pointers? I'd be happy to provide any further info needed.
