links on webpage

Hi

I'm trying to get url links to work but with no success.

The example is

Code:

<li>&lt;?= anchor('video', 'music');?&gt;</li>

this example points to http://localhost/search/index.php/test/l....php/music

As you can see its adding it on to the current url.

I have set my base url to localhost/search.

Also I am new to CI, so please be gentle with your answer.
