Full Text Search in Datamapper

Hello,

I'm trying to figure out how to do a Full Text Search, unfortunately I am not really sure how, I've researched what I can but am a bit confused by what I found. The best thing I could find was: this CI forum thread

I need to do a full text search on several columns, across a few tables (these tables are all linked), and if possibly, ordered by relevance (is that possible?).

I've not really used FTS before, even without CI and DataMapper, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Datamapper is good for a lot of things, but this isn't one of them.

In general, if you need table wide operations, use standard CI DB queries.
