Forum developed in CI

Is there any free forum developed in CI, I have tried myforum and dove_forums and cant work with them. So any other suggestions please,

I don't know of any other one. I know PyroCMS has a forum, but it's pretty basic too...

I dont need a sophisticated code. I just need a basic one to start building on it. The problem with myforum is that its not working for me.

I know there once was a forum written with CI (see the wiki http://codeigniter.com/wiki/Forum_writte...odeIgniter) but the page has dead-links all over therefore one can't find the source code.

Another forum-software built on CI is DoveForums (http://www.doveforums.com/). Once had a glance at it but not its code. Maybe you wanna do this and give some feedback

MyForum was meant to be quite a basic forum, which would probably be the best place to start http://codeigniter.com/wiki/MyForum/ if it not working what is the error or issue your having maybe we can help you resolve it, I tried MyForum awhile back but it did work, so could be configuration issue or some small modification to fix it.

Another option is to build the forum yourself, maybe try some tutorials on how to build a forum and use this knowledge to try and build it within codeigniter

I've seen the code for Dove Forums and it's great a more than great start for a forum you can build upon. I built the plugin library for it that allows you to extend its functionality. It's currently being rewritten and worked, quite an awesome library I recommend trying.
