I know there once was a forum written with CI (see the wiki http://codeigniter.com/wiki/Forum_writte...odeIgniter) but the page has dead-links all over therefore one can't find the source code. Another forum-software built on CI is DoveForums (http://www.doveforums.com/). Once had a glance at it but not its code. Maybe you wanna do this and give some feedback
