Installation problems

I have tried following codeigniters installation instructions but I can not seem to get codigniter to work.

I have got symfony up and running with no problems on the same server and have plenty of other php sites that are working fine so my xampplite installation is not at fault.

I am running the server from an external Hard Drive on Windows XP Profesional box.

I keep getting an object not found error whenever I try to access codeigniter via http://localhost/codeigniter/index.php or http://localhost/codeigniter/

I have http://localhost/codeigniter/ listed as my address in my config.php file and the correct password listed in my database.php file.

Is there a more detailed installation guide anywhere for windows users?

EDIT: Its all sorted now, I just had the wrong address it was supposed to be this http://localhost/codeigniter_1.5.4/
