Sorry guys. I'm taking raw_where and raw_or_where out. They duplicated existing functionality better left elsewhere.

Even in the upcoming AR changes, you can get the same functionality with
Code:
$this->db->where('(grade > 50 AND grade < 75)');
$this->db->get('grades');
