I think Codeigniter is falling behind other frameworks. I am trying to setup a new project and can't seem to put a solid testing structure behind it. PHPunit does not work out of the box with CI, and needs a third party software such as CIUnit which appears to be way of our date with the currently CI version and is incompatible.
I need to be able to test models & controllers, the only options I appear to have is to downgrade to CI 1.7 or move to another framework. Why CI does not offer some sort of testing feature for Controllers I don't know. Does anyone have any solutions before I move to Yii?
