I'm having an issue with changing passwords that I can't figure out. I can create a new user with a password with no issues. But as soon as I use the change password function and change the original password, the user login no longer works. The entered password is not recognized. What's interesting is if I replace the new password hash with the original hash, problem goes away. Leads me to suspect that it's something about the hash that is causing the login with the changed password to fail? Has anyone run into this before? If so, any ideas as to what would be causing this?
