Any download manager should do the trick.
When you have a direct link to the video, yes, any download manager can. But it is not the case when you try to download a video from YouTube, for example. There the link is hidden in the flash player, but DownloadHelper can get it for you.

hello ,
i understand very well your situation, try this two urls on your downloader

http://codeigniter.com/videos/intro.mov // for the introduction.
http://codeigniter.com/videos/blog.mov // to create your first blog.

Good luck.

Skyblaze,

Try to clear your browser's cache before attempt to download the file again. May it is reading from the cache the partial downloaded file. If nothing works, may you are under a web proxy that isn't updating its cache.

I had the same problem trying to watch the second video tutorial--it kept hanging at minute 6:47. It hit the same, exact hang spot on all three of my Mac machines.

So, I cleaned out my cache several times and even did a warm reboot--just in case. Still, the 2nd tut would stop at the same time.

For me, the solution was to launch QuickTime and open this url directly-->http://codeigniter.com/videos/blog.mov. The tutorial reloaded to the place where it had hung before. After a few seconds, it continued loading and viola! This works on both QuickTime and QTPro.
