Just thought I'd ask if there are any game devs here and what is your preferred choice of software? Would love to hear other opinions.

I'm never build any games before. But which programming language you use/prefer??

Mainly BGE + python, although starting unity.

Those game engines (blender and unity) look truly amazing! Wish I had the time to have a play with them. I cannot imagine the thousands of hours needed to produce anything like the standards we see regularly churned out by game companies.
