Howdo I find the best codeigniter development company?

Hello guyz, I am looking for the top codeigniter development company at affordable cost. Please help me if you know...

Personally, and this is very personal opinion, I find most development companies will charge you a lot for their time. It is a more cost affective approach to use freelancers in your region/area and there are some fantastic freelancers around. You can then get someone to work on the design and look and feel, someone to start coding the basics, someone to do specialist stuff like security, someone else to look at SEO and marketing, someone else to re-factor code or check on progress etc. It can be a fun approach too, remaining completely in control, retaining oversight and usually getting extremely good people at great rates, because they work when they choose to achieve your goals by your deadlines.

Just an opinion,

PS all approaches have difficulties and dangers, but a big benefit of using freelancers is that you control your expenditure rather than committing to large project up front.

@PaulD does have some good point but in my experience I found using several freelancers is extremely time consuming, expensive and frustrating. I would always prefer a company. Unfortunately (and that is just my experience) freelancers tend to vastly overestimate their abilities, their time frames and the cost. And they disappear on a frightening rate as soon as somebody offers them a higher paid job or a permanent role.

Maybe I am just using the wrong portal and PaulD might know a good place to look for reliable freelances.
On the package it said needs Windows 7 or better. So I installed Linux.

It is true, you have to be able to manage the freelancers which becomes a job in itself. In truth in took me years to build a network of reliable freelancers that I could trust and work with smoothly. The problem with a single company is their job is to get the biggest budget for the smallest workload and complete and get a sign off as quickly as possible. A freelancer (well good ones) just want their hourly rate and will do whatever you ask as best they can as quickly as they can. So if you cannot block off your requirements into short self contained units that are easily managed by freelancers, then perhaps it is not the best route.

Well firstly, a simple Google search could definitely help. If you're looking for something affordable, my best guess is that you outsource the task. Select a few good companies, get in touch with them, ask them for their prices and look out for their reviews. This is the traditional approach. If your project is huge, you could also put out an RFP and accept proposals. Also, make sure you choose a company that offers a flexible hiring model that allows you to make payments as you go. You don't want to be stuck with someone that takes a hefty advance and then doesn't do the job properly.
