James, Can we get the Private Messages set to off

Can we get the Forums Private Messages default set to allow them,
I keep getting messages from new users and cannot answer them.

This issue has come up before, and the majority feeling at that time was that PMs should be disabled by default. It sounds like it is time to revisit that ... I will craft an explanation and poll the community
