SEO Spammers - Ban them!

Stopping any sort of spammer is difficult in forums. One can develop content rules, but they need to be relaxed enough to allow legitimate comments through. On the other hand, they could be designed in such a way that posts that trigger them need admin approval. But, that creates a lot of work. Looking at the suggestions, perhaps it is better to just disable signatures. The only important part is the comment. The signature is irrelevant. I never add them, even when able, as I do not care about SEO or exposing my website to audiences outside my sphere. I get decent ranking in Google and other search engines because of content, not cross linking.
