Admin Panel example

It has been a year since I last asked a question here, I don't even remember that I already had an account here.

Anyway, I've since picked up interest again to learn a proper framework and word out there is that CI is the easiest to learn. I usually create "Admin Panels" for web apps, can anyone suggest or provide an example Admin Panel created out of CI?

I came across the following CI example and it really is very easy to follow, I could probably create an Admin Panel out of it but I am not just sure if it is using the "best practices" on using CI and/or MVC.
