Migrating from PHP 7.4 - should I go to 8.0 or 8.1? Is 8.1 supported by CI4?

Hi,
any input regarding migration from 7.4 to 8.0 or 8.1 would be greatly appreciated. I can't find anything about PHP 8.1 compatibility in CI 4.1.9 specifically. Am I correct to assume that "7.3 or newer" includes 8.1, even though the download page says "PHP 7.3+ (including 8.0)" - https://codeigniter.com/download
Production will be running i Docker environment so I am fine with either version, just want to confirm the compatibility. 8.0 is on active support through most of the year anyway.

v4.1.6 is full support for PHP 8.1.

Thanks! I will try to target 8.1 for these two projects then.

FYI: found out that mcrypt isn't supported for 8.1 we'll have to rethink this a bit. 8.0 is still a promising target version of PHP.
