Thanks for the heads-up! Thankfully our production systems are running behind AWS Load-Balancers terminating incoming HTTPS and forwarding HTTP to the back-end instances. I guess AWS are working closely with the security teams of every technology they are implementing.

I know that a lot of user on the CodeIgniter Forums have used the OpenSSL for the UUID contruction.
