PHP + Codeigniter + Perfex CRM |
Hi guys,
I'm looking for a developer for some perfex Modules. We are interested in building a long-term partnership for the development of multiple modules for our company, as we know that other businesses could benefit from these solutions as well. To start, we're looking for a relatively simple module for our web hosting company. We're currently using Plesk and Keyhelp (a German web hosting panel similar to Plesk, with an API). The module we need would enable web hosting account management directly through PerfexCRM. Specifically, we would like the following features: Create hosting packages on the server side. Display access details within the PerfexCRM customer portal. Provide basic account management features (similar to the WHMCS Plesk Extension module: https://marketplace.whmcs.com/product/13...-for-whmcs, but with fewer functions, as we don’t need everything that module offers). Additionally, we are looking for a full-fledged order system, similar to WHMCS, that allows us to manage packages, server limits, and web hosting plans. It should include: Subscription cycles. Auto-creation of web hosting and domain orders (with domain API integration). For reference, something along the lines of this module: https://codecanyon.net/item/purchase-man...BexQy94-xo, but tailored to our needs. Do you think you can handle this project? If so, could you provide a rough estimate of the cost for a module like this?
Hello,
Hope you are doing well! Sent PM. Request you to please check. Regards, Jennifer
Hello,
I hope you are doing great. I have sent you PM please check and share your response. Lookinng forward to your response. Regards, Ron.
I have worked with Perfex CRM almost 2 years.
It is old, terribly maintained system. Nightmare for devs to work with. Full of bugs and backdoor issues. Multiple DB query replications, security issues. Newest version is meant for PHP 8.0, bet there is no smell of 8.0. It is PHP 7.2, although feels like PHP 5.6. Built on top of CodeIgniter 3 Not suitable for CodeIgniter 4 Main core functionality is broken and has hidden bugs where your invoice data and accounting accorodingly will mess up relations and data. Using Perfex invoicing for 6-9 month (depends on various circumstances) will lead to corrupt data. If you will not be able to fix data manually, you (your accountant) will / could have legal issues. I would not suggest to use a system like that. And don't get me wrong - from frontend / UX point of view - it's quite good looking system, lots of modules, features etc, but underneath the surface is hell. Good luck (10-24-2024, 03:23 AM)Bosborne Wrote: You do not mention how much you are willing to pay for this commercial work.l2p it is a longtime friendship. No, not that i know from top of my head
I build whole company internal systems. Basically working only with CodeIgniter 4, php 8.3 etc etc etc I have my own built "core" system. Default CI4 with no changes (easy update to newest every time), wrapped with ~ 30 modules. My system is ongoing project, not downloadable or purchasable. Maybe some day. I would like to jump in and help out, but unfortunalety i have no scope till 2025 autumn. So my advice - write down detailed spec of what you need. Compare with what Perfex CRM (or any other similar system can provide). Figure out outstanding work need to be done to achieve your full spec. For example: assume you would need 100h to make Perfex modifications to suit your needs. Creating a new system from scratch on CI4 would need 140h. I would say - new specific designed system would be your approach. Cheers
Yes ofc, we can do that from scratch but you say perfex is to old and buggy, a system from scratch is in 3-4 years also "old and buggy".. no sense
