Forms / postdata / refresh + back

Hi

I have an site which allows a user to drill down through clients ---> projects ---> documents to allow them to view uploaded documents.

I'm using the form helper but clearly all forms are posted and therefore if a user wants to go 'back up' and use the back button for example, to choose another client or project, they get the postdata 'popup'.

Is there any way round this as I like the CI segments to URIs and I don't want to enable query strings....

Almost answering my own post here but I suppose I could just dump the forms entirely or use javascript to build the segments. Umm.
