Sample applications?

Is there any sample app I can download and dissect?

Im making a news posting site and am missing that crucial bit.

Hi jasont, There are many examples of user auth on the CI wiki and in the Ignited Code forum. Try searching for something you like.

Just my opinion but I think the wiki is currently a real mess and should be better organized because its hard to find stuff. The all pages tab is a jumble of all the content, maybe it should be organized by type of content? API's, Applications, Tutorials etc and in each of those categories have the list of corresponding pages?

You can search for FreakAuth or Redux Auth. These are auth libraries which you can implement in your application.
