Jedd: When you started out with your lesson on resurrecting old threads I thought you were a bit of a ... but I'm grateful you took the time to respond like you did - thanks for the information!
I did a lot more reading of old threads last night and I think maybe it's not as bad as I thought. I need to figure out how you put stuff in libraries (think I have tried that before and I could never figure out how it worked).
At this stage in my project everything is messy but I think I will continue to concentrate on the functional aspects of what I am trying to achieve in the end - then I can concentrate on streamlining and breaking things out into libraries etc.
I use Eclipse IDE with PHP perspective, which is good for outlining the functions etc - I think I will try and find the shortcuts for collapsing.
