Showing blank page

It shows blank page on my localhost but works when I do "php index.php", atleast shows me error. I started looking around and seem like it is not going beyond this line "$EXT =& load_class('Hooks');" in "sys/codeigniter/CodeIgniter.php" file.

Any advice.

do you have logging on ? if yes .. set it out, or make the logs directory writable.
