Actions and Filters like in WordPress

Hi guys, being few years developer of CI, much happy with it!

Sorry if I missed something, is there functionality in CI that is similar to actions and filters from WordPress (add_action, add_filter, do_action etc)?

Can you advise something? I've only found https://github.com/Vheissu/CI-Plugin-System but looks like very outdated...
