Hi,
I've been going through Derek Allard's video tutorial for Autocomplete using Scriptaculous and Prototype. All is going well, however, I'm auto-completing on FirstName and SurName fields in the db so when the form is finally submitted I can't search properly using the full name from the input field (does this make sense? I can explain further if necessary)..
So, what I'm thinking might work, is when I click on the name from the autocomplete dropdown it inserts a hidden input field with the UserId and then I select that from the db using a separate function.. But I don't know how to do that! This is my first Ajax implementation so I'm a bit lost.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
