I believe the poster fabricio1970 is asking a question about driver support for the Firebird DB under CI 3.0.

Since the User Guide does not specifically address this database, I would also like to know how to configure for the Firebird DB.

Please excuse the thread topic divergence.

I do not see firebird in the list of drivers inside system/database/drivers, sorry

Ok, thanks and let me suggest that a list of supported DB drivers be included in the User Guide itself?

The 'ibase' driver is an Interbase/Firebird driver.
The 'pdo' driver also has a 'firebird' subdriver.

And yes ... we seem to have missed adding a proper list to the docs. Will do.
