Create driver for Sybase (sasql)

I need to create a driver for Sybase (sasql), is there any documentation of the functioning of the driver Cl 3?

My advice would be to start with one of the existing working drivers (preferably one for a database environment you understand fairly well), copy the files into a new directory, then refactor that driver to work with Sybase.
