Has anyone done any work on the new features available in HTML5, especially around form fields.

Is there going to be a CI working party to keep it at the forefront of web development frameworks?

Long live CI.

You mean attributes like inputmode and datalist? I'm not aware of any browser that supports them yet ... and it'll probably be a while. There are a few interesting things in the spec - particularly the structure ones (header, footer, section) and the media stuff. I've been watching css 3 more closely than html 5 though.

I suppose Webkit will get to a few more of them within the next year or so (if they stop adding so many of their own). IE 9 might actually include some of the css 3 stuff like corner-radius.

Essentialy - forgetaboutit. Even if Webkit and Gecko start supporting these; half the world is still on IE 6.

Javascript has the potential to save CSS 3, but HTML 5 is wishful thinking.
