emulate cron through browser for testing - need help how to

I need to test something and emulate the functionality of running a cron every minute in CI. Is there a way I could open a browser and call a function every minute? I have some ideas but would love to know from others how they would do it.

If you're using Firefox, get ReloadEvery: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/115

Then just right-click on the page, select 1 minute and enable.
