hi. i was having same error. and the solution was deleting the extra "$".

from this <?php echo $row->$message;?> to this <?php echo $row->message;?>

i was doing video tutorial #2 but in the video it works with the sign '$'

//my mistake, in the tutorial never write a $ sign. doh!
