Tutorial - Form Validation in 6 Minutes

Ive used your method. It works good with small forms, but when it gets bigger, its a real pain to set all the variables multiple times. I don't know any better solution, so i guess I just really hope on some improvements of the form helper in a new release Smile

Thanks for your help on this Smile

Smile dunno ive no problems with setting them, i try my best with it, im happy it helps you Smile

i always want things to go as linear as possible, so ive compiled the best methods ive seen
arround and here it is.

feel free to ask, if your stuck somewhereSmile

besides, the reason ive been into this method is, i am using netbeans and ive heavyly setup
shortcuts so i can type less but do much code Smile

Thank you for the solution. I combined it with some help elsewhere and I've managed to get validation on an edit section into one form. Exactly what I wanted. Your solution is extremely logical and well thought out in my view.

If/when you do that demo again, could you put a few more key frames in the video. Dunno if it was just me, but VLC Player had some issues seeking. Or if you could do it up in a avi if it's not any trouble.

OW it was a pretty nice video. I like those macros you setup, NetBeans is a nice IDE. I tried it before, but it doesn't have any text zoom features à la FF or Notepad++ (ctrl+scroll)

Thanks.

Hello again Smile

yeah will definiatly do another tutorial in a couple of days
this time, WITH dropdown and all stuff.

i think its your version of VLC cause mine (i also use vlc) does
pretty good at it

the next video will be with less resolution.

besides, netbeans is very very cool ide for doing CI stuff because
of the macros/templates. i will give the templates to in the next
release.

take care and thank you for the commentsSmile
