How to change URL id to name?

How do I dynamically change the variable number in the URL to a name? Eg: "index.php/about/team/2" -> "index.php/about/team/jon-doe"?

hi if you are creating url from database than you can do one thing you can create one more field in database seo_url while saving content you can save url name than you can use it instead of id, you can use that seo_url from url in your where clause for specific recored.
