mssql is depreciated?
#1

I see in the CI3.rc3 release notes that the mssql library is depreciated. Do we have another way to get at mssql? While I'd love to deperciate mssql itself and deprecate it whenever I have a chance, I still need to work with it. So is there another way? Or can some developer take on care and feeding of that module?

BTW, I've posted that I'm starting a new CI project. That ones does not need mssql. This is for in-general.

sqlsrv replaces mssql. This just mirrors the underlying PHP database extensions, as the PHP mssql extension was deprecated as well: http://php.net/manual/en/intro.mssql.php

Oh man, I've got to get out more. I'd completely missed PHP sqlsrv!
