Both pages contain very nice icons, but unfortunately, they are much larger than 16x16px, and probably won't scale down well.

I received a reply from Marc Gueury, the chap in responsible for the HTML Validator extension for Firefox, and he told me that he used a vector program, and recommended I try InkScape. So I will see if I can make the time to download it and see if I can get results. If I design anything half decent, I will post them in this thread.

are you sure you cannot make do with the sizicons accept_green.png one? it is available in 16x16 and is almost identical to the one you are actually after. in my opinion it is better.. the tick is more in proportion.

I may resort to using them, however I am quite partial to the 3-D effect, which the Sizicons do not have. Thanks again for your comments.

Try the "Silk" icon set from FamFamFam here:

I've been using it on some of my projects, and I must say, they're of superb quality for the low, low cost of $0.00. Just be sure you include a thanks and reference somewhere in your project.

Great icons, guys. I really like those silk icons. There's an icon in there for just about every situation you could ever imagine.

Just one thing about FamFamFam silk icons... they're sweet, but everybody in the world used them (like bamboo invoice).
If you really need a "special" touch then look for something else, I could puke if I see them again

Btw in the link posted by herrkaleun there are some very nice collections... check it out!
