I haven't been working on our site's CI session information, but as I understand things, the CI session information is stored in a persistent cookie in the user's browser.
Is there any mechanism in CI to make that browser cookie a
session cookie?
In CI, setting an expiration of zero means it won't expire.
We'd like the CI session data to expire on browser close.
As a temporary expedient, we'd hacked the CI code to create a session cookie when the sess_expiration parameter was an empty string. That seemed to cause the CI session to rebuild the cookie completely on each page load.
Any ideas?
