Moving config.php outside webroot

Best practise usually dictates moving any sensitive (usually config) files outside the web root.

Is there a way to relocate the system/application/config/config.php file ?

Apologies if this has been asked previously, but my initial searches returned no useful info.

You can move the entire application and system directory outside the web root, and specify the location in index.php. You'll want to leave index.php (and .htaccess) in the web root.

You'll want to change the values of the $system_folder and $application_folder variable.
