if I want to know where is the visitor from using codeigniter how ??

and if i need to know if the person how is a new member did register pefore or not how ? i know that i can do it from IP address but I think the IP is not enough .

There's a world geography IP csv file that contains the range of IPs that a certain country uses. You can use that to determine where the visitor is from.
