MeNeedz Akismet (spam protection)

As promised in my previous post about DBlog, my CI based blogging software, I have created a library for CodeIgniter that let's you use the Akismet API for spam protection.

All you need to do is the following:
1. Download the library from here
2. Get yourself a valid Akismet API-Key from here
3. Follow the example in the user guide!

I had no idea Akismet could be so easy to access. Definitely filing away in brain should the need arise

Yes it is working. I tried all libraries for aksimet and the best is yours. I don't know why this thread has no posts aksimet version is old in your library(1.1) and current is 2.2.6 . Can you update it ?

Good work. But just like Serhat said, it is better to have the latest Akismet version.

There is no need to update.

The Akismet version is still 1.1.
2.2.6 is only the version number of the Wordpress plugin and my library has nothing to do with that.
