FreakAuth confirmation emails not sending

I've pretty much just done a base install and tried to register a user. Unfortunately, I don't receive the confirmation email.

Everything else works just fine.

I'm using FreakAuth 1.1 and CI 1.7.1

I can send mail using CI mail class just fine.

I'm guessing its probably because I'm not using CI 1.5.X.

Has anyone come across this issue or have any idea where and in what file I should be looking at to see where this registration email is sent?

A good way to go about debugging this issue in general would also be helpful.
