The maximum amount of memory you can use is defined in the php.ini.
If you're asking how much memory CodeIgniter uses, it's quite hard to answer. It all depends on your setup, what you're loading and what you're trying to do - 2MB should be more than enough for just about everything, and that's generally the default limit in the php.ini. If this is what you're asking, it's a bit like asking how long a piece of string is.
